Platform Tennis
looking for a little change from traditional tennis? Elmira Country Club has two heated outdoor Platform Tennis courts. While it can be played year-round, Platform Tennis, or “Paddle Ball”, is generally considered a cold weather sport usually played from late October through mid April.
The court is one-third the size of a tennis court and is surrounded by wire mesh fencing. The ball may be played "off the wires" providing it lands in the court first. Rules and scoring are similar to tennis with the exception that only one serve is allowed and there is no first serve.
